BioHey. My name is Christina. I'm a screenwriting student studying in the San Francisco Bay Area. Art is my life, whether in the form of photography, silkscreen, writing, films, whatever. When I have free time, I often have my nose in a good book or my hand scribbling a pen on paper. Chuck Palahniuk and Arturo Perez-Reverte come to mind for authors that I love. My favorite films are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Bottle Rocket, Squid and the Whale, Dog Day Afternoon, Talk to Her, Virgin Suicides, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Mean Girls (no, I'm not a teenager or a Lindsey Lohan fan), La Cienega, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Star Wars, Band of Outsiders, Science of Sleep, Millions, Down By Law, Breathless, Adaptation, and many, many more. I'll see any movie, even if it sucks; I'll still get something out of it.
I love to laugh and be silly with my friends, not that I'm one of those happy-go-lucky people, but I try to find the humor in the little things. Like a two hour drive to see a band could be more enjoyable than the show itself, and that's okay. Sadly, my schooling has cut off the source of money that used to fund those type of mini-trips, but I'm working on it.
As for musical tastes, I tend to like a little bit of everything. I love classic punk rock, new age punk, blues, blues rock, folk, non-fabricated-just-for-profit pop, instrumental Spanish guitar... My list of favorite bands includes The Clash, Bob Dylan, Against Me, Bright Eyes, The Beatles, Rancid, Mando Diao, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, The Futureheads, The Sounds, Street to Nowhere, The White Stripes, Wilco...
I'm also a huge football/futbol/soccer fan. I can talk about my favorite players and great matches all day. I follow Real Madrid, Liverpool, and the Spanish national team. One of my dreams is to travel to Spain to attend a Real Madrid match. Though I am American, my heritage is Spanish, and I will always feel connected to the country.
My So-Called Life is my favorite TV show. Ever. It's the kind of show that goes deep into my soul, or something. Jeez. I just went into Angela Chase mode without trying. Honestly, this show has changed my life and given me a lifetime appreciation of Claire Danes and Jared Leto.
I'm always looking for people to collaborate with on short films. I've been taking my film classes online, and so it's hard to meet people for projects. If you, whomever is reading this bio, is interested in making movies or writing a script with me, send me a message.
